Tips to help you use your myAPCdiary better

This first tip focuses on the project section in your diary where you can tag projects to your competency experience, invaluable when you come to think about which project to select for your Critical Analysis.

Once you have set up your projects, recording your project experience is very easy. All you have to do is pick the relevant project from a drop-down list as you record your cometency experience. As the project section gives you a summary of the days recorded against each project as a table and a bar chart, choosing the project to form the basis of your Critical Analysis just became a lot easier.

You only need to record the projects where you are heavily involved as these are the most suitable for your Critical Analysis. If you are just playing a small part in a project it is probably not worth considering as it would not demonstrate the breadth of competency experience or involvement you need.

The Project section is not an RICS APC Process requirement but an added value feature of
the myAPC diary.
